ServerlessConf is a community led conference focused on sharing experiences building applications using serverless architectures. Serverless architectures enable developers to express their creativity and to focus on meeting user needs... freed from the burden of the usual heavy lifting required to build scalable secure applications.
These new architectures, are anything but new. They build on the work done in many areas... from Backend-as-a-Service providers such as Firebase & Parse, Single Page Apps frameworks like AngularJS & EmberJS, to cloud functions like AWS Lambda. These are just a few of the technologies that enable us to now build completely serverless platforms.
We want to create a community based event where no Open Initiatives of any kind will be started. We want to focus on great projects being built by great people.
We believe that the future of business lies in leveraging & supporting cloud services. Do more with less, and focus on delivering creative solutions for your users.
Serverless Architectures take away the heavy lifting of building highly available, scalable, end to end applications. Let others manage the tricky business of scale, so that you can focus on your core business.
As the General Manager of AWS Lambda, Tim Wagner tames microservices in his sleep. He has also served on the Eclipse Foundation Board and held various open source roles. Product and research interests include massively scaled software systems, developer productivity tools, and incremental algorithms.
